Labor's candidate for the next federal election in the seat of Banks, Chris Gambian held his Chinese community fundraising dinner last night at Hurstville, expressing his willing of having a Government that only cares about what is good for corporate executives, and thinks the best education and healthcare belong only to the privileged few.

東南網(wǎng)澳大利亞站6月20日訊（本站記者 Jessie、彭寒） 工黨Banks選區(qū)聯(lián)邦議員候選人Chris Gambian于6月18日晚在悉尼南區(qū)的Hurstville舉辦競選晚宴，并表示希望能在大選中得到機(jī)會了解選區(qū)里的每一位居民。

競選晚宴上，工黨Banks選區(qū)候選人Chris Gambian發(fā)表講話表示：作為最大的華人社區(qū)之一Hurstville，對于選區(qū)Banks非常重要。“我們需要去選擇我們相信的澳大利亞，一個(gè)任何付出努力的人都可以得到認(rèn)可的地方。”

影子財(cái)政部長Tony Burke，工黨國會參議院Jenny McAllister，悉尼Ashfield市議員王云梅等多位工黨人士也都出席了本次競選晚宴。

Tony Burke在晚宴講話中說：“今天在座的各位就是澳大利亞多元文化最好的體現(xiàn)，而Chris可以成為那個(gè)我們可以去相信的人。”

Chris Gambian是在澳出生的第一代印度移民。作為在Banks選區(qū)出生長大的亞裔，banks地區(qū)對他而言有著更重大的意義。還有兩周就到大選之日，他希望能為Banks選區(qū)今后幾年的社區(qū)服務(wù)多做貢獻(xiàn)。
